We love finches. The goldfinch is a real favorite. Every year we are blessed with the arrival of the start of spring. Who crowd our Thistle Finch Feeder throughout the day. It was a female Goldfinch. I went to his aid and carried her inside. She was lying on my chest and tried not to run, fly, or escape in any way. Had "shit" on me though!
Together we sat for about an hour, just looked into his eyes. The child was placed in a closed vacuum feeder Bluebird. I let them stand erect. Within minutes he was again beaten on his legs back. I was afraiddo what the human and brought the bird back. Holding, she did not try to move. We put them in a box with seed and water, occasionally erect, with his proposal.
The next morning the finches now starting to walk and stumbled awkwardly in their field. Now that was taken for his little beak and pull the skin between your thumb and forefinger. The next afternoon, I and my son got out of his box, and held the bird in hand, went outside. He began singing and squirms away. I opened my hand and held its flight, which slowly climbed up one finger and looked around. Satisfied, he took refuge in a nearby crepe myrtle in front of us, and began to sing. I like to think it was a song of thanksgiving. Two male goldfinches came and landed near her. The three sang for a few seconds, then she was gone. We wereleft with warm feelings for saving this beautiful poultry.
